What Kelsey’s Writing Now… – Kelsey Browning

What Kelsey’s Writing Now…

Yes! I’ve finally finished all edits for Designed for Love, the fourth and final book in the Texas Nights series. As sad as I am to see this series come to an end, I’m excited that all four books will be out by November of this year.

You see, I’m a series reader too, and I like to binge so I totally get the desire to read the books back-to-back. That being said, writers don’t always write the books back-to-back. For example, Personal Assets and Running the Red Light were originally written in 2007. Then, they were heavily revamped once Carina Press contracted them in fall 2012.

Problems in Paradise (releasing July 14!) and Designed for Love were both written and edited within the past year and a half. So, as you can imagine, writers rely on the keen eyes of their editors to catch any continuity errors between books. That being said, I’m worried a reader will pick up some small discrepancy and decide I’m an idiot. LOL

Some folks are asking where I’m heading post-Texas Nights. Well, Nancy Naigle and I will be releasing the second The Granny Series book, Fit to Be Tied, this fall. In addition, we’ll be debuting a romance novella trilogy that traces the relationship of Sheriff Teague Castro and Jenny Cady. These novellas will be different from the regular The Granny Series books, but not to worry, we won’t include anything in them that you would need in order to understand the full-length books.

I’m also working on a new Texas-set contemporary romance series. The first book will release sometime in 2015. More news to come as this series develops!

So that’s what I’m up to these days – how about you? What are your most current projects, writing or otherwise?

Today is National Moonshine Day. Who knew? Have you ever had a sip of moonshine? I confess I haven’t but just might have to now!
