January 6 is Bean Day. No idea what that really means, but hey, beans don’t get a lot of respect, so I don’t begrudge them their own day. Here are my faves: edamame, black-eyed peas, black beans, snap peas, pintos, and limas—yes, I’m one of the two people in the world who like lima beans. Long live legumes!
