Interview with Contemporary Romance Author Kimberly Kincaid – Kelsey Browning

Interview with Contemporary Romance Author Kimberly Kincaid

Today, I’m stoked to offer an interview with another fabulous contemporary romance author, Kimberly Kincaid. I was first introduced to Kimberly through a post she did for Romance University and she’s here today to chat with us about her latest foodie romance.

Welcome to Brain Candy, Kimberly!

What’s the name of your latest release and a one-line description of the book?

My latest release is titled Drawing The Line. It’s the story of a sexy, ambitious detective who is charged with keeping a feisty restaurant owner in protective custody after she witnesses a crime.

Describe the book’s hero in three words.

What do you love most about writing contemporary romance?

It has the potential to connect to readers on so many levels– whether that be through setting (small town, big city, mountain resort, beach getaway) or characters (shared professions, personalities, situations).

What’s the last contemporary romance you read that you loved?

I really love them all! But the last one I read was Robin Covington’s His Southern Temptation.

Reader question from Amy Remus: Do you model characters after people you know?

I love this question! I don’t directly model characters off people I know, but I do use elements of them to create some characters. And no dialogue is safe around me– if my family or friends use a funny phrase or say something catchy, chances are, it’ll end up in a book!

Do you have any extras or sneak peeks available for readers?

There are sneak peeks of my Kensington releases on my website www.kimberlykincaid.com under the “books” section. I do also have a third “Line” novella coming out late summer. Sneak-peek hint: a certain serious-yet-sexy ER doctor is headed for happily ever after!

Headshot RedKimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. You can find her at www.kimberlykincaid.comwww.facebook.com/kimberly.kincaid1 and on Twitter at @kimberlykincaid.

Today is “I Need A Patch For That” Day. This immediately makes me think of two sexy things: pirates and jeans with holes in…ahem…fortunate places. I say patch up the pirates, but by all means, leave those jeans alone!
