Bag Number One Eliminated from Perfect Bag Contest – Kelsey Browning

Bag Number One Eliminated from Perfect Bag Contest

Bag number one, the LL Bean Messenger, was not crowned the winner of Kelsey’s bag search.

What I liked about the bag:

  • Overall quality seemed good, especially for the price ($30 on sale)
  • Convenient snap pocket on back of bag that’s perfect for a spiral or folder
  • Adjustable, padded strap
  • Large outside pocket on either end of the bag to hold heavily used items or water bottle
  • Cute pink and blue argyle print

What I wasn’t so crazy about:

  • The key fob was made of a cheapo plastic
  • The key fob was tucked inside another zip pocket
  • It’s a messenger bag (yes, I was pretty certain I didn’t want one)
  • Plastic buckle closure
  • The main compartment was big enough to store half a dozen farm animals. Have you any idea how much crap I could lose in there??

Smarty Boy decided to keep his, but mine is going home to Maine this week. Stay tuned for more bag news!

Today is obviously Martin Luther King Jr. Day. So take a minute to honor the man who made our country a better place.

Today is also National Fig Newton Day and Appreciate a Dragon Day. And let’s face it, you either love Fig Newtons or you don’t. Since I’m in the don’t camp, I don’t feel compelled to celebrate. However, I can get behind Appreciate a Dragon Day. If you’ve never read one of Shana Abé’s books, pick one up. This author truly knows how to celebrate the dragon!
