Interview with Contemporary Romance Author Alison Packard – Kelsey Browning

Interview with Contemporary Romance Author Alison Packard

Today, I’m stoked to offer an interview with another fabulous contemporary romance author, Alison Packard. Alison and I (along with Tamara Morgan, Kat Latham and Reese Ryan) are doing the Sizzling Summer of Contemporary Romance giveaway together! You can expect my giveaways during the Personal Assets blog tour in August and September.

Welcome to Brain Candy, Alison!

What’s the name of your latest release and a one-line description of the book?

My latest release is The Winning Season. After hitting rock bottom, bad-boy catcher Matt Scanlon is traded to the team he’s loathed since boyhood, and he must confront a painful incident in his past before he can rebuild his life and his career.

The Winning Season

Describe the book’s hero in three words.

Strong. Vulnerable. Sexy.

What do you love most about writing contemporary romance?

I love that there are so many exciting possibilities in contemporary romance. There’s something for everyone!

What’s the last contemporary romance you read that you loved?

Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan. I’m a big fan of humor in romance novels and I laughed out loud several times while reading this one.

Reader question from Amy Remus: Do you model characters after people you know?

Great question, Amy! Honestly, I haven’t yet based a character on anyone I know. However, I’d be lying if I said I haven’t used certain snippets of conversation I’ve heard over the years from friends, family and other assorted individuals.

Do you have any extras or sneak peeks available for readers?

Today is part of the Air-Conditioning Appreciation Days. Seeing as it’s in the 90s and humid as hell in Georgia, I have no problem appreciating my A/C!
