If You Like Romantic Suspense Author Suzanne Brockmann, You’ll Like… – Kelsey Browning

If You Like Romantic Suspense Author Suzanne Brockmann, You’ll Like…

Whoop! Guess what, y'all? The uber-popular IF YOU LIKE series here on Brain Candy is back!

We all know what it's like, right? You voraciously read up all the backlist of a new-to-you author or wait impatiently for the next release by a long-time fave author. And then...the black hole of READING DESPAIR! (Can you see me? I'm totally laying on a fainting couch with my arm flung over my face. 🙂 )

Then you think: "Aha! If I could just find another author kinda like my faves, I'd be able to pull myself out of that black hole." Great news is Brain Candy is here to help you.

I'm tickled pink to have ADRIENNE GIORDANO here today to tell us which authors we should check out if we love Suzanne Brockmann's work. So read on for some amazing reading recs!

Tracers Series - Laura Griffin

I fell in love with the Tracers series after reading Snapped. At the time, I didn’t realize I was reading book four in the series and was pleasantly surprised that I could go back to the beginning. On her website, Laura Griffin describes the series as “an elite group of forensic experts who help homicide cops and cold case detectives solve the most unsolvable crimes.”

I’ve enjoyed the entire series, but Snapped is still my favorite. I’m a fan of strong, alpha males who have fierce protective instincts and Jonah Macon makes me swoon. Pair him with Sophie, a fearless woman who manages to become the target of a killer and the dynamic between these characters is amazing.

Super Agent Series - Misty Evans

Two words. Michael Stone. He’s the hero in Operation Proof of Life, book three in the Super Agent series, but I first fell in love with Michael in Operation Sheba (book one). He’s the deputy director of the CIA who does whatever it takes to fight the war on terror. He’s strong, he’s reasonable and he is oh-so-capable. He wasn’t even the hero in Operation Sheba and I fell for him. Which made for an agonizing wait for his book! Don’t get me wrong, the hero in Operation Sheba is pretty irresistible himself, but Michael Stone made my heart go whump-whump. If you love spy books with some international intrigue thrown in, you’ll love this series.

Slye-Temp Series – Dianna Love

With Last Chance to Run, I actually managed to start the series on book one. J Angel and Zane are both flawed characters and there’s a push-pull between them that makes their sexual tension explode. He’s an undercover DEA agent and she’s a wrongfully convicted woman who doesn’t trust law enforcement. This is a fun read with plenty of twists and turns to keep a romantic suspense reader darned near giddy with anticipation. Last Chance to Run is actually the prequel to the Slye-Temp Temp series so I’d definitely start the series with this one.
