Tech Guy’s Photo: Mosque at Sunset

I’ve been remiss on treating you to Tech Guy’s fabulous photography lately, so here’s one to feast your eyes on:

Tech Guy took many pictures of the mosques while we lived in Doha, Qatar (a tiny peninsula country just off Saudi Arabia and across the water from the UAE). This is one of my absolute favorites. In fact, it’s the background picture on my smart phone. I can still remember waking up my first day in Doha at 4am to blinding sunshine and the call to prayer.

Today is Talk Like Shakespeare Day so I recommend you pull out your bawdiest, yet most subtle, jokes and try them out on your friends. Throw in a little angst, some leggings and a few “thees,” and your friends will be thoroughly confused. Confused, but entertained :-) .

Lie Back and Think of Summer

I haven’t posted any of Tech Guy’s great photos in a while, so I thought I’d share one that will make you look forward to summer and drinks sporting colorful umbrellas.

This picture was taken on the beach in Malibu, California. As a bit of trivia, most beaches in Malibu aren’t private, although the owners of the bazillion dollar houses might want you to think so. The big challenge is finding parking and access to the beaches, which is often hidden between big ole hedges.

February is National Weddings Month. Tech Guy likes to call the location where we married the “Temple of Doom.”

Hmm…wonder if there’s a National Divorce Month? :)

Warm up by the Fire Day

Today is Tech Guy’s birthday. I won’t spill the beans on how old he is, but I will confess that he married an older woman.

In his honor, I’m sharing another of his fabulous photos. This was taken at the fire school in College Station, Texas, several years ago. It’s one of my all-time faves.

In addition to my husband’s birthday, it’s also Pearl Harbor Day. Since my birthday’s on 9/11, you might understand why we decided to have only one child. Any more would’ve been a threat to the US’s national security.

Sunset at Kelsey’s House

Tech Guy is an amazing photographer, but he’s pretty shy about sharing his pictures. Lucky for you, I snuck one for your viewing pleasure.

This is a late afternoon view off the upper balcony from our place in California.

Today is Mulligan Day – even if you don’t golf, take a do-over when you make a mistake today.

Hey, you’re human; it’s gonna happen.
