New age meets old west.
Ty Metcalf, a fifth-generation Texas rancher, would rather be dragged butt-naked through a pile of fire ants than turn his family legacy into a dude ranch. However, he’s struggling to keep the place afloat after his dad’s crazy money making schemes forced the sale of several hundred acres of land. Ty is also determined to create a stable home for his six-year-old niece, who lives with him while her mother frolics around New York City. When his sister threatens to take her daughter to New York unless Ty hands over half the ranch’s value, he has to come up with the cash…even it means hosting trail rides for people who wouldn’t know a horse’s mouth from its hindquarters.
Clancy Shepherdson, a Bohemian temp worker, dreams of establishing a stress management center, but she’s never able to stockpile enough money from her odd jobs to do more than pay her rent…two weeks late. When she takes a short-term position as a trail ride cook at Ty’s failing ranch, Clancy sees an opportunity to save his dream and build her own in the process. All she has to do is convince him that massage therapy and meditation go hand-in-hand with hauling hay and herding cattle.
